Monthly letter from General Council

Rome, October 2018

“Reconcilers for the world, prophets in the grace of La Salette”

Greetings of Peace and Joy from Rome!

The month of September is the Memorial of Our Lady of La Salette. We share with you our joy for the month of September and we ask Our Blessed Mother to intercede for us.
"Why is there suffering in the world?" a big question that everyone has: St. John Paul II said in his Apostolic Letter
Salvifici Doloris (On the Christian Meaning of Human Suffering), "suffering is present in the world in order to release love, in order to give birth to works of love toward neighbor, in order to transform the whole human civilization into a 'civilization of love.’" Mary at La Salette through the tears released her love for the suffering world. Her tears of Love invited us to reconcile and to be the reconcilers.
May our Blessed Mother, Guide us always, that we might continually draw nearer to the side of our Crucified Lord in all of our daily trials and sufferings — both great and small.
